I just watched Kymbo walking down to the chook run, with a bowl of scraps in hand. She had Patsy & Eddy, Tweetle & Beetle, Milly and George all taging along behind her.
Life is Grand, sometimes…

Lolzilla: ‘mummy, am I walking on my bum?’
kymbo: ‘um…..’
Lolazilla: ‘naaahh, I’m walking on my legs’

I’ve always thought of wordle as a bit of a toy. Some of my colleagues use it as a team affirmation thing - and it makes me a little queasy.
Today, I finally got around to catching up on a little RSS, and found this post from my br.other, who is using wordle as an editing tool.
What a cracking idea - he always was the smart one…

I can’t imagine that the part of me that makes that moment what it is, the part that wants to stand next to them and watch them sleep to study their eyes and faces to get even the slightest hint about the nature of their dreams will ever be fully replaced by the later newly-developed parts of me that will want to cover their cars in ten feet of bubblewrap and pillows.
So whose...

Artist Series : Lawrence Weiner
You know when you go to a museum and you see one of those artists who paints words on the wall and it’s confusing because all you can do is read the words and look for the meaning there rather than take in the words as a single work of visual art because ultimately you’re more of a language guy even though you would love to be more of a...

We’re on a crusade. Every time we go shopping, we dive into a record store with Dad. We run to the Pink Floyd section, and see if there’s any more albums we’ve never heard of.
He already had ‘A Nice Pair’ (Saucerful of Secrets & Piper at the Gates of Dawn double-album) in...

What is the deal with likes?
Do I ‘like’ things I like, or things that inspire me? Do I ‘like’ a link to a sad tale?

Red Hill Market
Looking for something to do tomorrow?
Come on down to the Red Hill Market on the Peninsula, and say hi.
I’ll be there with the Kymbo, selling her wonderful recycled jumpers and hand-felted thingies. They’re lovely.
So come on down, and look out for The Woollen Wardrobe - I’ll drink coffee with you.
I have decided
that I missed too much of the early 90’s, and must return.

What goes on in my mind?
Every time I want to say ‘penance’, my brain tries so very very hard to say ‘Penzance’
A frictionless decent down the stairs must stop somewhere, as I crash into the drinks machine before turning and jumping through the already-closing train doors

The Finest Moment (circa. March 2010)
I lie comfortably curled around your warmth, with a too-soft orchestra alarm drifting in and out of my half-awake mind. Your hand holds mine close to your chest, and we rise and we fall together.
I hear the slap slap of young feet on floorboards, then gentle thuds as they hit carpet.
He is beside me. He slides under the cover, wraps his tiny little arms around my neck, snuggles his soft-shaven...
