The super-canny among you may have noticed I have made a few small tweaks to the first post on Stacking Theory - Fanfare.
First up, I’d like to send a big thanks out to bookboy who provided help, guidance, and cold hard images for the comment bubbles. Yay!
Next, I’ve been tinkering with using Markdown for my posts (in conjunction with the super-ace MarsEdit) - I am actually quite liking the simplified approach of Markdown, I’ve also created a MarsEdit Markup command for pasting links in Markdown, and given it a keyboard shortcut. Did I mention that MarsEdit rocks?
Lastly, I’ve been tweaking the footnote thing. I’m not sure that I’ll continue to use footnotes, but it’s a worthwhile distraction from actually producing work. I’ve been looking around for the best way for me to implement footnotes, and I’ve found some javascript mojo, and some observational commentary, and have wound up back at the feet of the Great Gruber (when I say ‘at the feet of‘ I actually mean ‘stealing directly the footnote layout of‘). Although, I am intrigued by sidenotes, which remind me of my favourite part of Jer’s Novel Writer - Margin Notes. I shall need to look at them further.
And lastly - thanks to you; for reading, encouraging, and supporting me. Cheers.
